New Features: Telegram Update Highlights
Telegram has recently rolled out a bunch of exciting new features, sprucing up the user experience. Here's a rundown of what's new:
1. Disable Private Messages
Telegram iOS/Android v10.6 introduces a new feature that lets you disable private messages. This one's exclusive to Premium users. You can set this up by heading to: Settings → Privacy → Private Messages → Contacts and Premium

2. Quote Reply Feature
Users can now quote all or part of a message when replying in channels, groups, or private chats. What's more, quoted replies can also be forwarded to other conversations, making information exchange a breeze. Details: Quote Reply User Guide
3. Code Highlighting
Telegram now supports code highlighting. You just need to send your code using the 'monospace' format, like this: code
, where "code" is your actual code. The system will automatically recognise the code's language, and you can copy the entire code block directly by tapping on it.

4. Similar Channel Recommendations
When you join a new channel, Telegram will now suggest other similar channels. Also, a list of similar channels will appear on the homepage of channels you've already joined, although not every channel gets a recommendation. See more: Similar Channels Feature Breakdown
5. Channel and Group Levelling Up
Channels and groups can now level up with the help of Premium users' boosts. Different levels unlock different features, with the highest level being 100 (for instance, the @TelegramTips channel has already shot straight up to Level 100).
